Salary: $31,000–$38,000 per year + quarterly bonus opportunities

About the Role
Are you ready to lead a high-performing aquatics team and make a direct impact on children and families? As the Assistant General Manager, you’ll partner with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, mentor Aquatic Managers and instructors, and maintain the highest standards for safety, curriculum quality, and customer experience. You’ll balance hands-on coaching in the pool with leadership and operational oversight, shaping the culture and performance of your school.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Partner with the GM to coach and mentor Aquatic Managers and instructors
Conduct staff performance evaluations, in-service trainings, and team meetings
Support staff growth plans and succession planning
Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture
Pool Operations & Safety
Maintain safe, clean, and organized pool and facility environment
Monitor adherence to safety protocols, chemical logs, and regulatory compliance
Address pool safety concerns and incidents promptly
Curriculum & Lesson Oversight
Ensure all lessons meet Aqua-Tots curriculum standards
Observe lessons, provide coaching, and guide student progression
Assist instructors in delivering consistent, high-quality instruction
Customer & Family Experience
Provide a welcoming environment and positive family interactions
Address family questions or concerns regarding lessons or instructors
Partner with staff to resolve escalated service issues
Administrative & Operational Support
Manage schedules, staff attendance, and coverage
Assist with budgeting, enrollment tracking, and operational reporting
Participate in company meetings, calls, and required training sessions
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s preferred)
18+ years old with valid driver’s license
Background in aquatics, coaching, or swim instruction
2+ years of leadership or management experience preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and coaching skills
Ability to lead in a fast-paced aquatic environment
CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
