Job Objective:

In collaboration with the General Manager, Aquatics Coordinator, and Area Integrator, the Assistant Manager will assist in all aspects of day-to-day swim school operations.

Preferred Experience:

· General knowledge of swimming and safety

Work Week Basics:

· 5-6 day work week with rotating days off (varies by season)

· Saturdays and/or Sundays Required

· Must be willing to be flexible with scheduling based on the needs of the team

Responsibilities and duties:

Scheduling/Planning/Staffing

  • Brainstorm with General Manager and Aquatics Coordinator to improve internal operational systems (schedule, plan, staff, building)
  • Assist General Manager and/or Aquatics Coordinator with planning and execution of monthly in-service training
  • Provide leadership and support in training of Aqua-Tots team
  • Fill in as needed for absent teammates either at the Front Desk or as a Water Safety Instructor

Customer Service

  • Build relationships and communicate effectively with potential and existing Tots families
  • Coach and lead teammates to ensure excellent customer service
  • Handle customer complaints gracefully with a win/win outcome
  • Report unresolved customer complaints to the General Manager
  • Lead by example for other staff members by using core values and a customer-focused principle in every customer interaction

Daily/Weekly Duties

  • Lead, coach, and train new and existing teammates on processes, meeting goals, and embodying the core behaviors: Be Friendly, Be Humble, Be Driven, Be Willing
  • Implement the use of Aqua-Tots Swim Schools systems of procedures set forth for the Front Desk Team and Water Safety Instructors
  • Direct service hours at the Front Desk and as a Water Safety Instructor
  • Ensure facility safety and cleanliness
  • Participate in weekly meetings with leadership and teammates
  • Conduct interviews and onboarding of new teammates
  • Other duties as assigned by General Manager, Aquatics Coordinator, or Area Integrator
